Firmware Update Guide

It takes only a few minutes.

1. Download the following driver:
   https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver.zip
2. Download the firmware(s).
   ⚠️
   WARNING: Please note that the firmware is device specific
   (armband, arc, strip).
3. Connect the device to your computer using a micro USB cable. The MindRove device must be switched ON!
4. Unzip the .zip file to a folder on your computer.
5. Open Device Manager: Open “Start” and type “device manager”, then click the “Device Manager” app.
6. In Device Manager (Windows 10) open Ports (COM & LPT). If connected properly you should see Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM…).
7. Please note the COM port number of the Silicon Labs CP210x. For example: COM37.
   
8. Go to the unzipped folder, then open the folder with the device’s serial number.
   Run flash_MindRove_xxx/ARB_xxxxxx.bat. A command window will appear — enter the COM port number and press ENTER.
   
9. If the flashing was successful, you can close the command window. If you encounter any update problem, please contact us at info@mindrove.com.
